Australia Fined For Slow Over-Rate

The Australian cricket team has been fined for their a slow over-rate during during the  victory over India in the fourth ODI at Mohali.

Chris Broad of ICC Match Referees imposed the fines after the Australians  were  ruled to be two overs short of its target at the end of the match when time allowances were taken into consideration.

In accordance with the regulations governing over-rate penalties, players are also fined five per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time, with the captain fined double that amount.

Ponting was fined 20 per cent of his match fee while his players received 10-per-cent fines.
